Just 40 kms today. Not a great deal to look at today, we had to keep our eye on the path. Hundreds of cyclists doing the 80k return trip between the two cities.
We ran into a Dutch cyclist we met in Ingoldsatd and his two friends, an Australian and her brother and Englishman. We spoke to them for around 15 minutes whilst riding and then headed off.
We arrived in Vienna at 11.30 and had lunch. We did not pass one sign displaying vienna. Unlucky.
We went of a little ride, watched a little bit of a professional bike ride and headed back to check in just before the heavens opened up for 1 hr.
We caught a train and headed into the city centre for dinner and a look-see.
2230 now watching the World Cup final
Stay safe we are!
No photos. Tomorrow

Who are you going for? The Pope's team??
Germany have played well each match. They deserved to win.Mitch was torn. He has been going for Germany all along but loves Messi.
Glad it didn’t go to penalties.
What about Brazil -they lost the plot. You should have been in the room with Mitchell going for Brazil and the rest of the clan barricking for Brazil!
Italy wasn't in the final Darl! :). No one really. I was able to share the joy at each goal. Lachy didn't like the Argentinian goalie. I remained neutral at each public viewing.
The cycle race in Vienna was on the TV last night. In the heavy rain two cyclist came down at 30km per hour. Slid into the square gutter that lined the road. When they hit the gutter they both popped up 40cm before hitting the road again. One got up and finished the race. The other treated by a ambulance.
Last night I saw the legs of two soccer players touch and both fell to the ground clutching their shins in agony. One might be able to concur with those who call them soccer fairies!
